Condition: used This is a Region 2 (Japan, J1) coded console. Here's a breakdown of what that means: All PlayStation 3 games and Blue Ray DVDs are playable on this console no matter what region they originated from. Only Region 2 PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 discs are playable on this console. That means you can play only Japanese imported PS1 and PS2 games on this console. Any other Region PS1 and PS2 games will not work. Only Region 2 coded DVDs are playable on this system. DVDs that are any other region code will not work. Blue Ray DVDs are the ONLY exception. This system uses NTSC format. PAL formatted discs (European) are not compatible. This console will work with any NTSC disc that is Region-Free (Region 0). Listed at Abilene, TX.
